Meet The Founders + Chief Executive Directors

The Women Behind MoXie Way- The Corporation

HELLO!

My name is Marissa Williamson from Cape Girardeau, Missouri-the rest will come to you.

I am a compassionate soul and tenacious spirit. My passion is youth development in any setting. I’m one of two Chief Executive, Directors & Founders of the 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization known as MoXie Way Incorporated with my best friend of 25 years. Check her out below.

I graduated with a Bachelors in Sociology and Social Work at the University of Arkansas. I am currently the Mindfulness & Wellness teacher at Grizzlies Prep Academy- a school made for boys. I am a mother, so I understand the importance of knowing that my child is in good hands when I’m not around . I also understand “it takes a village”.

With MoXie Way we are apart of the youth. We serve villages in the 901 community. We love what we do and appreciate the love and support we receive for the work we do.

Hi!

My name is Whitney M. Watson. I am one of two Founders and Chief Executive Directors of the 501(c)3 nonprofit organization MoXie Way, Incorporated. First, I want to state, I am authentically me. Although I am a mother, significate other, daughter, sister, friend, educator, and a lifelong learner, I am unapologetically Whitney Marie first. I am determined and full of courage. I love without end and genuinely care to the highest level. I am goofy, yet sincere, and intellectually attuned to the world around me.

I received a Bachelors of Science in Education from the University of Memphis where I also obtained a specialization in Youth Services. I have worked with the youth all of my adult life in addition to being a parent for over 16 years. The MoXie Way Inc. Mission aligns with my life in several ways as I can identify myself as a trouble youth during my adolescent years. As I grew older, I came to understand who I am, what I want from life, and how I can help others who encountered hardships like me. Coming from a low-income family and being a first generation graduate I can identify with the struggles of those we serve on a daily basis and am more than willing to give myself to my community as that's where I find the most peace.
